Pronounced “U-KU-Lele (” OOO-KU-Hawaiians by Lele), this little “Guitar” from Hawaii is very popular on the continent. The Grizzly Ukulele kits include the parts of mahogany and make a great instrument. 4 nylon strings make it easy to play and a wonderful starter “guitar …. for the juvenile and adult. The H3125 is ready built and is easy to put together (you just need glue and some clamps), so it makes a great project to do on your own, or with your kids. Best part is the neck and body are pre-formed, so you can’t make a mistake putting them together (they click where they go together). All you need to do is glue it together, sand it down, and finish it however you like (be creative!).
I have to warn you, though: the strings suck. You definitely will want to get a set of real strings if you want to play your ukulele after you build it. If you want to really make this kit even better, you can add gold tuners, and it will hold its tuning longer.
